The Island Housing Trust is a partnership among Martha’s Vineyard’s existing housing organizations, the six island towns and member homeowners and renters, each of whom are represented on the board of directors, including:
BOARD OF DIRECTORS:
Richard Leonard, chair - the president of the Martha’s Vineyard Co-operative Bank, has lived on the island all his life, and is a representative of the non-profit Island Affordable Housing Fund.
Janet Hathaway, vice chair – works for the Edgartown Board of Health, has lived on the island all of her life, and is the representative of the Town of Edgartown.
Harvey Beth, treasurer – is a recently retired C.P.A. and State and Local Government Chief Financial Officer, is an island resident, and is the representative of the Town of Oaks Bluffs.
Richard Bluestein, clerk – is a co-founder of a Boston law firm of Krokidas and Bluestein, a seasonal island resident, and a representative of the non-profit Island Affordable Housing Fund.
John Abrams – the president of South Mountain Company, a local design build firm, an island resident, and a representative of the non-profit Island Affordable Housing Fund.
Anthony J. Bongiorno – is a commercial real estate developer, an island resident, and the representative of the Dukes County Regional Housing Authority.
Warren Doty – is a retired fish wholesaler, an island resident, and the representative of the Town of Chilmark.
John Early – the president of John Early Contractor and Builder, an island resident, and the representative of the Town of West Tisbury.
Jean Entine – former director of the Island Affordable Housing Fund who has spent her entire career working for non-profits, a seasonal island resident, and a representative of the Town of Aquinnah.
Leo Frame – is an economics teacher at the Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School, an island resident, and a representative of the non-profit Island Affordable Housing Fund.
Victoria Haeselbarth - works for the non-profit Island Elderly Housing, is an island resident, and represents lessee-homeowners as owner of a house built and financed by Habitat for Humanity of Martha’s Vineyard.
Tristan Israel - is an owner of a landscaping company, an island resident, and representative of the Town of Tisbury where he serves on the Board of Selectmen.
Dale Julier– is a local real estate broker, an island resident, and a representative of the non-profit Island Affordable Housing Fund.
Caroline Locke – works as a real estate paralegal, is an island resident, and a representative of the non-profit Island Affordable Housing Fund.
Patrick Manning – is the executive director of the Island Affordable Housing Fund, an island resident, and the representative of the non-profit Island Affordable Housing Fund.
Dick Mezger – is a modular building developer, an island resident, and the representative of the non-profit Bridge Housing Corporation.
Monica Miller – owns a herbal medicinal and body care business, is an island resident, and is a representative of lessee-homeowners as a Trust Lessee living in Oaks Bluffs.
Tony Nevin – is a professor emeritus of psychology, an island resident, and the representative of the non-profit Good House Corporation.
Darran Reubens –- works for a local architectural firm, is an island resident, and is a representative of lessee-homeowners as a Trust lessee living in Tisbury.
Doug Ruskin – is a business management and systems information consultant, an island resident, and the representative of Habitat for Humanity of Martha’s Vineyard.
Wendy Swolinzky – owns a boat rental business, is an island resident, and is a representative of lessee-homeowners as a Trust lessee living in Aquinnah.
Noelle Warburton - works for the Bank of Martha's Vineyard a division of Sovereign Bank, is an island resident, and is a representative of lessee-homeowners as a Trust lessee living in Oak Bluffs.
Bob Wheeler – is the vice president of the Dukes County Saving Bank, an island resident, and a representative of the non-profit Island Affordable Housing Fund.
STAFF
Philippe Jordi, executive director – has worked for the past eleven years as a developer and manager of affordable housing for the Island Housing Trust and the Dukes County Regional Housing Authority, and as a community development planner for the Wampanoag Tribe of Gay Head (Aquinnah).
