Housing Production Plans

The All-Island Planning Board, with support from the Martha’s Vineyard Commission and the Island Housing Trust, is kicking-off a series of town meetings this month to develop Housing Production Plans that will help shape town housing and zoning policies to create housing that is affordable for our families, elders, employees and children.  Come and participate in a series of public meetings in your town during the months of September, November, and December (see schedule below). Food will be served.

At the first meeting in September, you will have an opportunity to provide input into the types of housing needed; in November you will have input into the amount and possible location of the housing to be created; and in December you will have input into the strategies and timetable for getting to the goals you’ve helped develop for your town.

To ensure that the your town addresses the critical need to create affordable community housing outlined in this Housing Production Plans info graph, it’s critically important to have your voice at the first meeting this month.

Please spread the word and share this invitation with your friends, family, and fellow workers, so that we can all speak from our own experience about the housing needs and the best ways to meet those needs.
