We’re very grateful to the MV Times for their recent editorial supporting the need for more affordable housing on Martha’s Vineyard. The piece discusses ideas being considered for up to 75 new apartments in a mixed used building on Beach Road in Vineyard Haven. Stressing the importance of working together to make affordable housing a reality for our friends and neighbors, it encourages the whole island community to get involved. We’d also like to say thank you to the Times for the kind words about our just completed apartments at Scott’s Grove in West Tisbury. Read the editorial here….
Our very own Derrill Bazzy made the cover of the most recent issue of The Vine published by The Vineyard Gazette. The nine apartments at Scott’s Grove in West Tisbury were filled with the sounds of laughter and conversation as folks gathered yesterday to celebrate the ribbon cutting for a beautiful new neighborhood. A year ago, we held the ground breaking in this very same spot when it was a simple grove of trees. We’re very grateful to the dedicated team of town and state officials, our generous donors and the talented designers and builders who worked together to transform this lovely parcel into home for many year-round island residents. Randi Baird has lent her considerable photographic talent to telling the IHT story in compelling, evocative images for more than a decade. This spring she added a new lens, expanding her worldview even further, and began shooting and producing videos using her drone. We asked her if she’d be interested in helping us capture a few of our properties from the sky and with her usual enthusiasm she got right to it! We’re very pleased to share the three beautiful and fun videos she created for us below…just click on any of the links and the video will begin playing! Enjoy!!
This year our ad campaign showcases the Power of Partnership. Over the years we have formed strong alliances with private donors, the six island towns, local businesses, other non-profits and state agencies. We could not do the work we do here at IHT without the support of all those whose commitment and dedication helps us to continue to move our mission forward.
