The Island Housing Trust working with the owner of a 2-acre property off Daggett Avenue in Tisbury successfully created a model for property owners looking to “downsize.” The property owner retained his guest house on 1-acre portion of the property, and the Trust secured a special permit from the Tisbury Planning Board to repurpose the main house into two 3-bedroom homes that were sold to two income qualified homebuyer families in August of 2020.  This downsizing story was produced into a short film with the help of the MV Film Festival that can be viewed by clicking on the hyperlink.
